FRIEZE
Brand Identity / Redesign
Role: Brand Identity, Graphic Design
Tools: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop
FRIEZE is a contemporary art platform that connects artists, galleries, collectors, and audiences from around the world. The logo was redesigned to give the brand a more colorful, modern, and welcoming identity. The bright colors represent the variety of art, ideas, and cultures found at FRIEZE. The connected shapes in the icon represent people and art coming together, while the bold and simple design makes the brand easy to recognize across different platforms.
ICON
Inspired by the infinity symbol, the icon represents the endless flow of art, ideas, and creativity. The two shapes connect in the center while keeping their own forms, showing how different people, cultures, and artistic ideas can come together without losing their unique identities. The continuous shape also represents how art keeps changing, growing, and creating new connections, making Frieze a space where new ideas and inspiration can continue to develop.
WORDMARK
The FRIEZE wordmark uses all uppercase letters to make each letter feel like its own visual shape. Instead of using letters only as text, each letter is treated as a form and image. The same height and bold weight create a clear rhythm and structure, making each letter feel like an artwork displayed together in an exhibition space.
COLOR
Red is the primary color, representing the energy and boldness of contemporary art. Its strong visual presence draws attention to new art and ideas. The supporting colors orange, pink, green, and blue represent the different artists, cultures, perspectives, and ideas that come together through Frieze. Each color has its own identity, but they all exist together as one color system. This reflects how different forms of art can keep their own character while coming together in one space. Just like contemporary art cannot be defined by one style or point of view, the mix of colors shows the diversity, creativity, and constant change of contemporary art.
