MONOLITH

Font
Tools: Glyphs 3, InDesign, Photoshop

MONOLITH is a bold typeface inspired by stone and architecture. It is designed to feel strong, heavy, and stable. The letters are made with simple geometric shapes, giving the font a bold look while keeping it clear and easy to read. The design started with uppercase letters to create the main style and structure of the font. Lowercase letters, numbers, and punctuation were developed next. The shapes, spacing, and proportions were adjusted to make all the letters feel consistent.

Process

The letterforms were created in Glyphs 3 using simple geometric shapes. The curves and points of each letter were adjusted to make the shapes feel balanced and consistent. Spacing and kerning were also refined to make the typeface easier to read and visually balanced.
